For decades, CRAIG BILLIARDS has focused on bringing customers exceptional Scottsdale billiard tables, game room furnishings, and products built to be enjoyed for years. That commitment means carefully selecting manufacturers that share the same priorities: quality materials, dependable performance, thoughtful design, and craftsmanship that stands apart. Today, CRAIG BILLIARDS is proud to expand its pool table collection with Olhausen Billiards, one of the most established names in American billiards.
The addition of Olhausen gives homeowners, designers, and game room enthusiasts more ways to find a pool table that matches both the way they play and the way they live. CRAIG BILLIARDS features a wide selection of Olhausen pool tables, including modern, rustic, traditional, tournament, and specialty designs.
A Family Tradition Built Around Billiards
Olhausen’s history reaches back to the childhood of brothers Butch and Don Olhausen, who grew up helping their father set up and recover pool tables. After moving to California, the brothers began delivering, moving, and recovering tables before purchasing the small billiard manufacturing company they worked with in 1973.
Over the decades, Olhausen grew into a major American billiard manufacturer while remaining closely associated with family ownership, craftsmanship, and the billiards industry. That history makes the brand a natural fit for CRAIG BILLIARDS, where founder Craig Connelly has spent more than 50 years helping customers find high-quality billiards and game room furnishings.
A Selection of Olhausen Tables to Explore
The Olhausen collection at CRAIG BILLIARDS includes a range of designs, from understated and minimalist to rustic, ornate, tournament-focused, and outdoor-ready. This variety allows customers to look beyond basic size and playing preferences and choose a table that complements the design of the room itself.
Several standout Olhausen tables demonstrate just how different one pool table can be from another. From the architectural styling of the Luxor to the intricate woodwork of the Venetian, each model brings its own personality to the game room.
The Olhausen Luxor: Bold Contemporary Design
The Olhausen Luxor offers a distinctly modern interpretation of the traditional pool table. Its clean profile features an enclosed solid wood rail system and flat-paneled apron paired with pedestal-style legs finished in brushed aluminum.
The combination of wood and metallic elements gives the Luxor a sophisticated architectural quality that can work especially well in contemporary homes, modern entertainment spaces, and upscale game rooms. Rather than relying on traditional turned legs or decorative carving, the Luxor uses simple lines and contrasting materials to create visual impact.
Available finish and cloth options also allow the table to be coordinated with surrounding furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and other elements within the room.
The Olhausen Laguna: Mid-Century Style Meets Billiards
For a more understated contemporary appearance, the Olhausen Laguna brings mid-century-inspired styling to the game room.
Its slim, tapered legs angle outward slightly, creating a lighter silhouette than many traditional pool tables. The streamlined construction gives the Laguna a furniture-like quality that works naturally alongside mid-century, transitional, and contemporary interiors.
The Laguna is an appealing option for homeowners who want a pool table to contribute to the overall design of a room without overpowering it. Its clean proportions allow it to function as both a recreational centerpiece and a thoughtfully designed furnishing.
The Olhausen Venetian: Ornate Traditional Craftsmanship
Customers looking for a more formal and decorative pool table can consider the Olhausen Venetian.
Made from solid wood, the Venetian features intricate carving throughout its apron, frame, and legs. These ornate details give the table the appearance of fine traditional furniture while maintaining its purpose as a full-scale billiard table.
The Venetian can be especially well suited to formal billiard rooms, traditional homes, libraries, luxury interiors, and spaces featuring richly detailed wood furnishings. Multiple finish options provide additional flexibility when coordinating the table with cabinetry, flooring, trim, and other design features.
For homeowners who want the pool table itself to become one of the most distinctive pieces of furniture in the room, the Venetian offers a dramatic alternative to more minimalist designs.
The Olhausen Tournament Pro: Designed with Serious Play in Mind
While many Olhausen tables emphasize furniture styling, the Olhausen Tournament Pro places greater attention on performance.
Its construction includes a robust box frame, Accu-Fast K66 cushions, tournament-standard bumper height, and a pre-leveled diamond-honed slate system. These features make the Tournament Pro an appealing choice for players who want their billiard room built around a serious playing experience.
Its more performance-oriented design also separates it visually from decorative tables such as the Venetian or Durango. For competitive players, dedicated billiard rooms, and customers who prioritize playability, the Tournament Pro offers a purpose-driven option within the Olhausen collection.
The Olhausen Horizon: Take the Game Outdoors
A billiard table does not necessarily have to remain inside the home. The Olhausen Horizon gives customers an option designed for outdoor entertainment spaces.
The table features rectangular tube legs arranged in a pedestal-like configuration, creating a contemporary appearance suited to patios and other recreational environments.
An outdoor pool table can add another activity to a larger entertainment area and create a gathering point for family and guests. For properties where outdoor living is an important part of the overall design, the Horizon provides another way to incorporate billiards beyond a conventional indoor game room.
Customization That Makes the Table Your Own
One of the biggest advantages of exploring Olhausen through CRAIG BILLIARDS is the ability to choose a table that works with the surrounding space. Selecting the right pool table involves more than simply choosing a favorite model.
Finish, cloth color, wood species, table size, placement, cue clearance, lighting, flooring, and nearby furnishings can all influence the finished game room.
Many Olhausen tables offered by CRAIG BILLIARDS are available in an extensive selection of finishes. Choices throughout the collection include traditional wood tones alongside contemporary options such as Matte Black Lacquer, Matte Charcoal, Matte Fossil Grey, Matte White Lacquer, Espresso, and additional finishes.
Numerous cloth colors and grades are also available, providing another way to personalize the finished table. A traditional wood table can be paired with classic billiard cloth, while a contemporary model can incorporate a color that complements a more modern interior.
This flexibility is particularly valuable for homeowners and interior designers who want the pool table to feel integrated into the room rather than added as an afterthought.
More Than One Style of Olhausen Billiards
The differences between these featured models demonstrate the range available within the Olhausen collection. The Luxor delivers modern architecture and metallic accents, while the Laguna introduces a lighter mid-century profile. The Durango brings rustic Western detailing, and the Venetian offers elaborate traditional craftsmanship. The Tournament Pro shifts the focus toward serious play, while the Horizon opens the possibility of adding billiards to an outdoor entertainment area.
That variety means customers are not limited to choosing between minor variations of the same basic table. Olhausen offers genuinely different approaches to billiard table design, helping homeowners find an option that reflects the architecture, furnishings, atmosphere, and intended use of the space.
